Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Pharmaceutical Industry, Chemicals and Construction & Building Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.39%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Dari Couspate SA (CS:DRI), which rose 5.98% or 87 points to trade at 1540 at the close. Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) added 5.97% or 89 points to end at 1578 and Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) was up 5.96% or 1.14 points to 20.24 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA), which lost 5.94% or 1.54 points to trade at 24.36 in late trade. Micro Data SA (CS:MIC) declined 4.69% or 6.50 points to end at 132.00 and Sonasid (CS:SOND) shed 4.27% or 20 points to 443.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 22 to 12 and 3 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.65% or 0.32 to $49.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.93% or 0.46 to hit $50.18 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.09% or 1.15 to trade at $1213.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.11% to 10.8840, while USD/MAD rose 0.17% to 9.7578.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 95.49.
