Investing.com – Morocco equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Real Estate, Pharmaceutical Industry and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares rose 0.12%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Afric Industries Sa (CS:AFIND), which rose 5.99% or 20.00 points to trade at 353.80 at the close. Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO) added 5.99% or 77 points to end at 1362 and Residences Dar Saada SA (CS:RDS) was up 4.25% or 7.45 points to 182.50 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aluminum mar 1l (CS:ALU), which lost 5.99% or 62 points to trade at 967 in late trade. Delattre Levivier Maroc (CS:DLM) declined 5.32% or 8.80 points to end at 156.40 and Stokvis Nord Afrique (CS:SNA) shed 4.64% or 1.12 points to 23.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 20 to 18 and 7 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 2.68% or 1.24 to $47.45 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 3.18% or 1.50 to hit $48.69 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.34% or 4.35 to trade at $1294.05 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.14% to 10.9240, while USD/MAD fell 0.22% to 9.6945.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.43% at 94.36.
