Investing.com – Denmark equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Personal & Household Goods and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 0.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa), which rose 1.87% or 155 points to trade at 8425 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) added 1.72% or 145 points to end at 8555 and Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) was up 0.74% or 0.45 points to 61.65 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb), which lost 1.84% or 11.5 points to trade at 614.5 in late trade. Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) declined 1.80% or 7.9 points to end at 430.4 and Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) shed 1.55% or 13.5 points to 855.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 77 to 64 and 17 ended unchanged on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was up 1.56% or 0.62 to $40.34 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 1.88% or 0.79 to hit $42.73 a barrel, while the June Gold contract rose 1.25% or 15.60 to trade at $1259.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.13% to 6.5204, while EUR/DKK rose 0.03% to 7.4437.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 93.93.
