Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms & IT, Real Estate Development and Media & Publishing sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 1.70%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were United Cooperative Assurance Co (SE:8190), which rose 5.71% or 0.60 points to trade at 11.10 at the close. Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8311) added 4.29% or 0.50 points to end at 12.15 and Saudi Indian Company Insurance (SE:8110) was up 3.02% or 0.35 points to 11.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Anb Insurance (SE:8011), which lost 9.90% or 4.00 points to trade at 36.40 in late trade. Saudi Telecom (SE:7010) declined 7.19% or 5.00 points to end at 64.50 and Jabal Omar Development Company (SE:4250) shed 6.64% or 4.25 points to 59.75.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 140 to 19 and 8 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for May delivery was down 3.22% or 1.28 to $38.51 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 2.89% or 1.17 to hit $39.30 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.25% or 3.00 to trade at $1221.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was down 0.21% to 4.1849, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7500.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.23% at 96.28.
