Dynamic Metals Ltd (ASX:DYM) has leveraged a soil sampling and mapping program over the Cognac West gold prospect of the Widgiemooltha Project in Western Australia to identify several targets for drill testing, slated for early 2025.
The company has selected three areas of interest with gold-in-soil results of 25 parts per billion (ppb) or above, combining soil sampling results with recent mapping and rock chip assays of up to 2,050 g/t gold.
“Exciting” exploration targets
"We are delighted with the outcome of this program which, after a comprehensive evaluation of the relationship between the complex geology and the surface geochemical footprint through our mapping and sampling activities, has defined specific targets for drill testing,” Dynamic Metals managing director Karen Wellman said.
“We are entering 2025 in a strong position with an exciting range of exploration targets to choose from and Cognac West has clearly established its top-shelf status in our asset portfolio.”
Apart from the three main areas of interest, Dynamic’s November 2024 soil sampling campaign identified several additional higher-grade zones of gold anomalism, grading up to 100 ppb, which have also been incorporated into the drill plan for testing in early 2025.
Permitting and preparations for a reverse circulation (RC) drilling program are underway, with the intention to begin drill testing early next year.
Dynamic is well-funded for exploration with $5.3 million in cash at September 30, 2024.
