Investing.com – Colombia stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Investment, Financials and Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.66%.
The best performers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 2.73% or 150.0 points to trade at 5650.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU) added 1.91% or 150.0 points to end at 8000.0 and Isagen SA (CN:ISG) was up 1.03% or 30.0 points to 2950.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which fell 5.79% or 1320.0 points to trade at 21480.0 at the close. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 1.90% or 60.0 points to end at 3100.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) was down 1.25% or 0.2 points to 15.8.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Colombia Stock Exchange by 16 to 14 and 1 ended unchanged.
Shares in Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) fell to 3-years lows; losing 5.79% or 1320.0 to 21480.0.
US coffee C for September delivery was up 2.59% or 3.15 to $124.88 . Elsewhere in commodities trading, US cocoa for delivery in September rose 0.47% or 15.00 to hit $3226.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.52% or 5.70 to trade at $1087.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.04% to 2877.00, while BRL/COP fell 0.27% to 853.08.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.39% at 97.61.
