Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Real Estate Investments, Transport and Tourism sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.45% to hit a new 3-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tekfen Holding (IS:TKFEN), which rose 4.35% or 0.20 points to trade at 4.80 at the close. Coca Cola Icecek (IS:CCOLA) added 4.28% or 1.50 points to end at 36.54 and Emlak Konut Gmyo (IS:EKGYO) was up 4.18% or 0.110 points to 2.740 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Carrefoursa Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA), which lost 4.13% or 2.20 points to trade at 51.05 in late trade. Ipek Dogal Enerji (IS:IPEKE) declined 4.07% or 0.050 points to end at 1.180 and Koza Madencilik (IS:KOZAA) shed 4.03% or 0.050 points to 1.190.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 177 to 168 and 66 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for April delivery was down 1.07% or 13.60 to $1259.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April rose 2.09% or 0.79 to hit $38.63 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.82% or 0.33 to trade at $40.38 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.78% to 2.8696, while EUR/TRY fell 0.81% to 3.2079.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.15% at 96.05.
