Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 2.41% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which rose 6.29% or 8.10 points to trade at 136.90 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 4.67% or 1.23 points to end at 27.55 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was up 4.36% or 7.8 points to 186.6 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 3.70% or 17.00 points to trade at 442.00 in late trade. Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) added 0.10% or 0.05 points to end at 50.15 and Svenska Cellulosa AB SCA ser. B (ST:SCAb) gained 0.80% or 2.0 points to 252.8.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 381 to 140 and 64 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 2.06% or 0.78 to $38.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.82% or 0.33 to hit $40.38 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.07% or 13.60 to trade at $1259.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.51% to 9.3207, while USD/SEK fell 0.49% to 8.3403.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 96.04.
