Investing.com - The S&P/ASX 200 finished slightly higher, adding 4.1 points or 0.1% to 6,606.3 following declines of 1.1% in the previous session.
Among stocks, Consumer Staples led the gains, adding 1.2% with Woolworths Ltd (ASX:WOW) up 2%, Graincorp Ltd (ASX:GNC) adding 0.4% and Endeavour Group Ltd (ASX:EDV) gaining 0.9%.
Health Care lifted 1.1% overall, as CSL Ltd (ASX:CSL) added 1.6%, Fisher & Paykel Healthcare Ltd (ASX:FPH) lifted 1% and Resmed Inc (ASX:RMD) gained 2.1%.
Materials fell 1.1% collectively as Rio Tinto Ltd (ASX:RIO) added 0.1%, BHP Billiton Ltd (ASX:BHP) dipped 1.4%, Fortescue Metals Group Ltd (ASX:FMG) lifted 0.2% and Champion Iron Ltd (ASX:CIA) fell 3.7%.
On the bond markets, Australia 10-Year yields were at 3.446% while United States 10-Year rates were at 2.95%.
In New Zealand, the NZX 50 finished little changed at 11,103.4.
