In a progress update, Glenn Grayson of Aruma Resources Ltd (ASX:AAJ) talked about the recently completed drill program targeting a bonanza-grade gold zone at the Thistle prospect within the Salmon Gums Gold Project in the Eastern Goldfields of Western Australia.
Grayson sat down with Proactive’s Andrew Scott and detailed the significance of the recent drilling: "Our target was to back up the previously drilled hole that had 5 metres at 50.2 g/t gold. We focused on hitting that mineralisation in diamond core, which we did. It was a successful program."
Core samples from the latest program have been sent to the laboratory for assessment.
Regarding the next steps, Grayson explained: "We drilled diamond core so that we could get as much information as we could structurally. So we'll model that up and play it from there. There will be another follow-up phase of diamond drilling to really understand how extensive it can be." Geological modelling will pave the way for upcoming drilling aimed at unlocking the project's potential.
Grayson also touched on other ongoing projects: "We've been busy up in the Salt Water Gold Project as well, which is our project in the Ashburton basin in Pilbara. We've got another field trip planned there to collect some samples."
