Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.16%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which rose 11.65% or 3.46 points to trade at 33.16 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) added 2.06% or 0.73 points to end at 36.10 and Volvo, AB ser. B (ST:VOLVb) was up 1.91% or 2.76 points to 147.56 in late trade.
Biggest losers included H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB B (ST:HMb), which lost 3.27% or 7.1 points to trade at 209.9 in late trade. Svenska Cellulosa SCA AB B (ST:SCAb) declined 1.87% or 5.7 points to end at 299.0 and Skanska AB ser. B (ST:SKAb) shed 1.44% or 3.00 points to 205.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 381 to 350 and 76 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was down 4.42% or 2.13 to $46.06 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 3.49% or 1.75 to hit $48.37 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.40% or 5.25 to trade at $1292.25 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.00% to 9.7714, while USD/SEK rose 0.39% to 8.6980.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.30% at 96.79.
