Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the S&P Lima Juniors, Mining and Non-Metal Minerals sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General added 0.68% to hit a new 3-year high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Candente Copper (LM:DNT), which rose 34.62% or 0.0360 points to trade at 0.1400 at the close. PPX Mining Corp (LM:PPX) added 16.67% or 0.01 points to end at 0.06 and Minera Irl (LM:IRL) was up 5.88% or 0.01 points to 0.09 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which lost 0.79% or 0.010 points to trade at 1.250 in late trade. Credicorp (LM:BAP) declined 0.33% or 0.69 points to end at 207.88 and Bco Continenta (LM:CON) 0.00% or 0.000 points to 4.300.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 28 to 3 and 11 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.89% or 0.46 to $51.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $57.91 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.54% or 7.03 to trade at $1297.57 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2475, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8358.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 93.14.
