Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Investment, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.38%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB), which rose 1.62% or 30.0 points to trade at 1880.0 at the close. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) added 1.32% or 120.0 points to end at 9180.0 and Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) was up 0.78% or 200.0 points to 26000.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which lost 2.65% or 60.0 points to trade at 2205.0 in late trade. Corp Financiera Colombiana SA (CN:CFV) declined 2.17% or 860.0 points to end at 38820.0 and Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA) shed 1.59% or 140.0 points to 8660.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 7 and 6 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 3.70% or 4.77 to $124.08 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 0.94% or 29.00 to hit $3108.50 , while the June Gold contract fell 0.30% or 3.80 to trade at $1250.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 1.36% to 2941.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.26% to 832.48.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.07% at 94.61.
