Investing.com – Indonesia stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Basic Industry, Financials and Property sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Jakarta, the IDX Composite Index gained 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the IDX Composite Index were Sunson Textile Manufacturer (JK:SSTM), which rose 25.00% or 14 points to trade at 70 at the close. Meanwhile, Eterindo Wahanatama Tbk (JK:ETWA) added 20.63% or 13 points to end at 76 and Barito Pacific Tbk (JK:BRPT) was up 19.05% or 32 points to 200 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Inti Bangun Sejahtera Tbk (JK:IBST), which fell 9.93% or 285 points to trade at 2585 at the close. Tempo Inti Media Tbk (JK:TMPO) declined 9.78% or 9 points to end at 83 and Golden Energy Mines Tbk (JK:GEMS) was down 9.72% or 155 points to 1440.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Jakarta Stock Exchange by 154 to 143 and 40 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.50% or 0.46 to $30.84 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 3.85% or 1.10 to hit $29.65 a barrel, while the February Gold contract fell 0.30% or 3.30 to trade at $1087.40 a troy ounce.
USD/IDR was down 0.59% to 13847.5, while AUD/IDR rose 1.27% to 9687.00.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.10% at 99.27.
