Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Electricity, Services and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General gained 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Minsur (LM:MINi), which rose 4.35% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.440 at the close. Unacem (LM:CEL) added 1.53% or 0.040 points to end at 2.650 and Ferreyros (LM:FER) was up 1.47% or 0.030 points to 2.070 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Empresa Agroindustrial Pomalca (LM:POM), which lost 14.80% or 0.033 points to trade at 0.190 in late trade. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) declined 3.67% or 0.110 points to end at 2.890 and Backus Johnsto (LM:BKJi) shed 2.94% or 0.500 points to 16.500.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 17 to 15 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for November delivery was up 0.08% or 0.04 to $50.73 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $56.47 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.60% or 21.10 to trade at $1295.30 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2485, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.8773.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 91.97.
