Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Technology, Industrials and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.19%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco BPI (LS:BBPI), which rose 5.47% or 0.0580 points to trade at 1.1190 at the close. Meanwhile, Banif SA (LS:BANIF) added 4.17% or 0.0001 points to end at 0.0024 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was up 2.67% or 0.0013 points to 0.0500 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were CTT Correios de Portugal SA (LS:CTT), which fell 3.93% or 0.3400 points to trade at 8.3100 at the close. Impresa SGPS (LS:IMPA) declined 3.09% or 0.0170 points to end at 0.5330 and EDP (LS:EDP) was down 1.26% or 0.0420 points to 3.2880.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 31 to 19.
Shares in Impresa SGPS (LS:IMPA) fell to 52-week lows; down 3.09% or 0.0170 to 0.5330.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.69% or 0.76 to $45.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.81% or 0.34 to hit $42.24 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.70% or 7.50 to trade at $1068.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.27% to 1.0617, while EUR/GBP rose 0.11% to 0.7018.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.24% at 99.89.
