Investing.com – Sweden stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 lost 2.54%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which fell 0.80% or 1.9 points to trade at 235.3 at the close. Meanwhile, AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) fell 1.28% or 7.0 points to end at 538.5 and Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) was down 1.40% or 0.75 points to 52.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which fell 5.61% or 8.00 points to trade at 134.60 at the close. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 4.37% or 1.52 points to end at 33.29 and Kinnevik, Investment AB ser. B (ST:KINVBs) was down 3.43% or 8.5 points to 239.2.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 351 to 83 and 8 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 1.24% or 0.58 to $46.17 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.49% or 0.76 to hit $49.92 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.33% or 3.70 to trade at $1120.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.72% to 9.4212, while USD/SEK rose 0.73% to 8.4705.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.08% at 96.40.
