Investing.com – Mexico stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Materials, Telecoms Services and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC gained 0.22%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which rose 1.39% or 0.270 points to trade at 19.730 at the close. Meanwhile, Kimberly - Clark De Mexico A (MX:KIMBERA) added 0.92% or 0.370 points to end at 40.500 and Gruma SAB de CV (MX:GRUMAB) was up 1.22% or 3.060 points to 253.700 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB), which fell 2.13% or 0.280 points to trade at 12.850 at the close. Grupo LALA SA de CV (MX:LALAB) declined 1.69% or 0.71 points to end at 41.33 and Arca Continental , S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:AC) was down 1.35% or 1.410 points to 103.390.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 59 to 56 and 13 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was up 0.08% or 0.90 to $1070.90 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 1.25% or 0.54 to hit $42.50 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 1.20% or 0.56 to trade at $45.62 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.34% to 16.5540, while EUR/MXN rose 0.17% to 17.5625.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.04% at 99.86.
