Investing.com – Finland stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Industrials and Telecoms sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 declined 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which rose 3.11% or 0.27 points to trade at 8.95 at the close. Meanwhile, Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) added 1.64% or 0.40 points to end at 24.75 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was up 1.52% or 0.100 points to 6.680 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which fell 5.12% or 1.62 points to trade at 30.05 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:MEO1V) declined 4.71% or 0.94 points to end at 19.02 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was down 2.22% or 0.90 points to 39.58.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 117 to 67 and 5 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 2.11% or 0.79 to $36.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 1.55% or 0.57 to hit $36.19 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.38% or 4.10 to trade at $1079.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.88% to 1.0736, while EUR/GBP fell 0.48% to 0.7325.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.63% at 99.56.
