Investing.com – Sri Lanka stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Information Technology, Footwear & Textile and Trading sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Colombo, the CSE All-Share gained 0.51%.
The best performers of the session on the CSE All-Share were PC House PLC (CM:PCHO), which rose 100.00% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.100 at the close. Meanwhile, PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) added 25.00% or 0.10 points to end at 0.40 and Swarnamahal Financial Services PLC (CM:SWAR) was up 15.38% or 0.20 points to 1.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Multi Finance PLC (CM:MULT), which fell 16.56% or 2.60 points to trade at 13.10 at the close. Taprobane Holdings PLC (CM:TAPR) declined 9.09% or 0.40 points to end at 4.00 and Sigiriya Village Hotels PLC (CM:SIGV) was down 8.70% or 6.00 points to 69.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Colombo Stock Exchange by 151 to 59 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in PC House PLC (CM:PCHO) rose to all time lows; up 100.00% or 0.100 to 0.100. Shares in PC Pharma PLC (CM:PCPH) rose to all time lows; gaining 25.00% or 0.10 to 0.40.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 4.72% or 1.40 to $30.93 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 5.57% or 1.63 to hit $30.88 a barrel, while the February Gold contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $1098.20 a troy ounce.
GBP/LKR was up 1.35% to 206.050, while USD/LKR rose 0.51% to 144.860.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.16% at 99.30.
