Investing.com – Portugal stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Financials, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 declined 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the PSI 20 were Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which rose 2.44% or 0.0830 points to trade at 3.4880 at the close. Meanwhile, Teixeira Duarte (LS:TDSA) added 0.71% or 0.0020 points to end at 0.2820 and Portucel (LS:PTI) was up 0.44% or 0.0130 points to 2.9640 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mota Engil (LS:MOTA), which fell 3.63% or 0.0590 points to trade at 1.5650 at the close. Sonae (LS:YSO) declined 2.90% or 0.0260 points to end at 0.8700 and Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP) was down 2.08% or 0.0007 points to 0.0330.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lisbon Stock Exchange by 26 to 16 and 5 ended unchanged.
Shares in Sonae (LS:YSO) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.90% or 0.0260 to 0.8700.
Brent oil for April delivery was down 3.59% or 1.23 to $33.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 3.61% or 1.19 to hit $31.74 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.44% or 5.40 to trade at $1231.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.19% to 1.1128, while EUR/GBP rose 0.05% to 0.7749.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.20% at 96.65.
