Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Auto & components, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Diversified Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX declined 0.90%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which rose 5.66% or 0.30 points to trade at 5.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) added 4.95% or 2.50 points to end at 53.00 and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo) was up 3.48% or 19.5 points to 579.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS), which fell 9.59% or 0.7 points to trade at 6.6 at the close. Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) declined 6.49% or 1.60 points to end at 23.04 and Bw Lpg (OL:BWLPG) was down 5.77% or 3.30 points to 53.90.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 132 to 42 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) fell to all time lows; losing 9.59% or 0.7 to 6.6. Shares in Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS) fell to 5-year lows; losing 6.49% or 1.60 to 23.04.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.14% or 0.64 to $29.05 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 3.74% or 1.23 to hit $31.65 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.23% or 2.70 to trade at $1195.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.83% to 9.6898, while USD/NOK fell 0.31% to 8.5635.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.94% at 95.85.
