Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Petrochemicals, Financial Services and Building & Construction sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share gained 1.41%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Mobile Telecommunications Company (SE:7030), which rose 8.90% or 0.65 points to trade at 7.95 at the close. Etihad Etisalat Co (SE:7020) added 3.99% or 1.10 points to end at 28.70 and AL-BABTAIN POWER &TELECOM CO (SE:2320) was up 3.93% or 0.95 points to 25.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Al-Ahlia Insurance Company (SE:8140), which lost 4.44% or 0.30 points to trade at 6.45 in late trade. Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8311) declined 4.27% or 0.50 points to end at 11.20 and Wataniya Insurance Company (SE:8300) shed 4.17% or 2.25 points to 51.75.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 119 to 38 and 10 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 2.50% or 0.96 to $39.42 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 1.44% or 0.58 to hit $40.91 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 3.11% or 38.30 to trade at $1268.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.73% to 4.2413, while USD/SAR rose 0.03% to 3.7502.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.84% at 94.90.
