Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 2.66% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems (COP:VWS), which rose 4.75% or 16.3 points to trade at 359.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Danske Bank A/S (COP:DANSKE) added 3.13% or 6.1 points to end at 201.3 and Novo Nordisk B (COP:NOVOb) was up 3.06% or 11.4 points to 384.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were FLSmidth & Co. (COP:FLS), which fell 1.37% or 4.3 points to trade at 308.9 at the close. A.P. Moller - Maersk A (COP:MAERSKa) declined 0.09% or 10 points to end at 11440 and A.P. Moller - Maersk B (COP:MAERSKb) was up 0.26% or 30 points to 11750.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 114 to 34 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Vestas Wind Systems (COP:VWS) rose to 5-year highs; gaining 4.75% or 16.3 to 359.8.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.06% or 0.03 to $52.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.09% or 0.06 to hit $58.66 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.03% or 0.30 to trade at $1159.50 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.98% to 6.6956, while EUR/DKK fell 0.00% to 7.4626.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.60% at 96.09.
