Investing.com – Poland stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Basic Materials, Energy and Banking sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Warsaw, the WIG30 fell 0.77% to hit a new all time low.
The best performers of the session on the WIG30 were Gornictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (WA:PGN), which rose 2.45% or 0.16 points to trade at 6.70 at the close. Meanwhile, Asseco Poland SA (WA:ACPP) added 1.77% or 0.96 points to end at 55.25 and Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) was up 1.59% or 0.71 points to 45.50 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were LPP SA (WA:LPPP), which fell 6.55% or 490.95 points to trade at 7004.05 at the close. CCC SA (WA:CCCP) declined 3.62% or 5.95 points to end at 158.50 and KGHM Polska Miedz SA (WA:KGHM) was down 3.42% or 2.80 points to 79.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Warsaw Stock Exchange by 313 to 212 and 108 ended unchanged.
Shares in Eurocash SA (WA:EUR) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.59% or 0.71 to 45.50.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 1.30% or 0.58 to $44.16 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 1.35% or 0.65 to hit $47.05 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 2.14% or 23.80 to trade at $1137.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/PLN was unchanged 0.00% to 4.2493, while USD/PLN fell 0.71% to 3.7704.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.71% at 95.67.
