Investing.com – Saudi Arabia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Media & Publishing, Transport and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All Share lost 1.07% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Tadawul All Share were Arabia Insurance Cooperative Co (SE:8160), which rose 6.00% or 0.60 points to trade at 10.60 at the close. Saudi Fisheries Co. (SE:6050) added 3.17% or 0.40 points to end at 13.00 and Kingdom Holding Company (SE:4280) was up 2.99% or 0.35 points to 12.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Saudi Indian Company Insurance (SE:8110), which lost 6.87% or 1.35 points to trade at 18.30 in late trade. Saudi Enaya Cooperative Insurance (SE:8311) declined 6.00% or 0.75 points to end at 11.75 and Amana Cooperative Insurance Co (SE:8310) shed 5.63% or 0.65 points to 10.90.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 146 to 17 and 5 ended unchanged on the Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for July delivery was up 0.59% or 0.29 to $49.62 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.72% or 0.36 to hit $50.31 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.76% or 9.20 to trade at $1207.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/SAR was up 0.23% to 4.1771, while USD/SAR fell 0.01% to 3.7498.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 95.72.
