Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Healthcare, Basic Materials and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 lost 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 2.50% or 0.94 points to trade at 38.50 at the close. Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 2.21% or 0.56 points to end at 25.95 and Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) was up 1.61% or 0.068 points to 4.288 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV), which lost 2.29% or 0.185 points to trade at 7.905 in late trade. KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) declined 1.66% or 0.76 points to end at 44.93 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V) shed 1.11% or 0.21 points to 18.66.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 95 to 69 and 26 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 2.21% or 1.09 to $50.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.51% or 1.18 to hit $48.23 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.12% or 1.55 to trade at $1322.15 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.21% to 1.1242, while EUR/GBP rose 0.41% to 0.8653.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 95.29.
