Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Consumer Services and Oil & Gas sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 1.03% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 7.14% or 1.89 points to trade at 28.36 at the close. Boliden AB (ST:BOL) added 4.19% or 5.70 points to end at 141.80 and Atlas Copco AB ser. B (ST:ATCOb) was up 2.74% or 5.2 points to 195.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which lost 0.95% or 2.6 points to trade at 272.2 in late trade. ABB Ltd (ST:ABB) declined 0.63% or 1.0 points to end at 156.6 and Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken A (ST:SEBa) shed 0.18% or 0.15 points to 85.55.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 359 to 185 and 47 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 3.88% or 1.34 to $35.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 4.40% or 1.63 to hit $38.70 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.92% or 11.60 to trade at $1269.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.07% to 9.3346, while USD/SEK fell 0.54% to 8.4797.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.37% at 97.25.
