Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Software & Computer Services, Technology Hardware & Equipment and Transport sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX added 1.66%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Petroleum Geo - Services ASA (OL:PGS), which rose 8.34% or 2.11 points to trade at 27.42 at the close. Meanwhile, Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) added 8.10% or 1.4 points to end at 18.8 and Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA (OL:NWC) was up 6.59% or 16.3 points to 260.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Marine Harvest ASA (OL:MHG), which fell 0.09% or 0.10 points to trade at 117.20 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 points to end at 27.70 and Schibsted ASA A (OL:SBSTA) was up 0.20% or 0.5 points to 250.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 115 to 46 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.66% or 0.21 to $31.51 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 0.25% or 0.09 to hit $34.38 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.22% or 2.50 to trade at $1155.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.52% to 9.5811, while USD/NOK rose 1.26% to 8.6099.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.70% at 97.19.
