Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Banking & Financials, Industrials and Food & Beverages sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 0.82% to hit a new 3-years low.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Southern Copper Corp (LM:SPC), which rose 3.46% or 0.90 points to trade at 26.90 at the close. Meanwhile, Buenaventura (LM:BVN) added 2.71% or 0.190 points to end at 7.190 and Panoro (LM:PML) was up 2.50% or 0.002 points to 0.082 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Casa Grande (LM:CSG), which fell 10.53% or 0.400 points to trade at 3.400 at the close. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 6.25% or 0.030 points to end at 0.450 and Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) was down 6.00% or 0.300 points to 4.700.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 26 to 7 and 3 ended unchanged.
Shares in Casa Grande (LM:CSG) fell to 3-years lows; losing 10.53% or 0.400 to 3.400. Shares in Trevali Mining (LM:TV) fell to all time lows; falling 6.25% or 0.030 to 0.450. Shares in Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) fell to all time lows; down 6.00% or 0.300 to 4.700.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 0.20% or 0.08 to $40.78 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.03% or 0.01 to hit $46.09 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.05% or 0.60 to trade at $1152.10 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.28% to 3.2635, while EUR/PEN rose 1.48% to 3.6454.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 95.75.
