Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Services, Property and Banking & Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite declined 1.49% to hit a new 6-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were DMCI Holdings Inc (PS:DMC), which rose 0.99% or 0.120 points to trade at 12.220 at the close. Jollibee Foods Corp (PS:JFC) unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to end at 231.000 and San Miguel Corp (PS:SMC) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 80.300 in late trade.
Biggest losers included GT Capital Holdings Inc (PS:GTCAP), which lost 4.99% or 63.000 points to trade at 1200.000 in late trade. Robinsons Land Corp (PS:RLC) declined 4.44% or 1.200 points to end at 25.800 and PLDT Inc (PS:TEL) shed 4.20% or 59.00 points to 1347.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 138 to 48 and 40 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.61% or 7.45 to $1216.85 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.07% or 0.03 to hit $43.44 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.38% or 0.17 to trade at $44.92 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.54% to 7.2036, while USD/PHP rose 0.86% to 49.250.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.85% at 99.83.
