Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Non-Metal Minerals, Electricity and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 2.64% to hit a new 6-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Atacocha (LM:ATB), which rose 11.94% or 0.024 points to trade at 0.225 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) added 11.74% or 0.025 points to end at 0.238 and Minsur (LM:MINi) was up 11.70% or 0.110 points to 1.050 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ferreyros (LM:FER), which lost 0.68% or 0.010 points to trade at 1.460 in late trade. Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to end at 6.000 and Corporacion Aceros Arequipa SA (LM:ARE) 0.00% or 0.000 points to 0.560.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 28 to 2 and 4 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $40.20 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.29% or 0.12 to hit $41.42 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.71% or 9.00 to trade at $1256.00 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.27% to 3.3770, while EUR/PEN fell 0.79% to 3.7977.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.32% at 95.07.
