Investing.com – Finland equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Healthcare, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.53%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which rose 3.73% or 0.88 points to trade at 24.45 at the close. Kemira Oyj (HE:KRA1V) added 1.85% or 0.19 points to end at 10.44 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 1.78% or 0.0680 points to 3.8860 in late trade.
Biggest losers included YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which lost 1.80% or 0.10 points to trade at 5.46 in late trade. Konecranes Oyj (HE:KCR1V) declined 0.52% or 0.11 points to end at 21.23 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) shed 0.45% or 0.19 points to 41.94.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 89 to 82 and 19 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for June delivery was up 0.32% or 0.14 to $43.24 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.58% or 0.24 to hit $41.47 a barrel, while the June Gold contract fell 0.06% or 0.80 to trade at $1233.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.29% to 1.1317, while EUR/GBP fell 0.21% to 0.7927.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.23% at 94.46.
