Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Forestry & Paper, Chemicals and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares lost 0.04%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were Fenie Brossette (CS:FBR), which rose 8.78% or 7.99 points to trade at 98.90 at the close. CIH (CS:CIH) added 5.32% or 13.50 points to end at 267.00 and Timar (CS:TIM) was up 5.11% or 18.00 points to 370.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Maghreb Oxygene (CS:OXYG), which lost 4.07% or 3.95 points to trade at 93.05 in late trade. Med Paper (CS:PAP) declined 3.22% or 0.46 points to end at 13.82 and Ib Maroc.Com (CS:IBMC) shed 2.53% or 1.46 points to 56.23.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 23 to 17 and 9 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was up 2.03% or 0.77 to $38.61 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in May rose 0.80% or 0.32 to hit $40.37 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 1.06% or 13.50 to trade at $1259.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was down 0.09% to 10.8780, while USD/MAD fell 0.11% to 9.7283.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 96.04.
