Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 fell 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Nordea Bank AB (ST:NDA), which rose 3.02% or 2.45 points to trade at 83.70 at the close. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) added 1.78% or 3.9 points to end at 223.0 and Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) was up 1.76% or 3.4 points to 196.9 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Fingerprint Cards AB ser. B (ST:FINGb), which lost 4.46% or 5.10 points to trade at 109.20 in late trade. SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) declined 2.38% or 0.62 points to end at 25.47 and Telefonaktiebolaget L M Ericsson B (ST:ERICb) shed 2.05% or 1.28 points to 61.02.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 369 to 228 and 59 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was down 3.11% or 1.44 to $44.91 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 3.22% or 1.57 to hit $47.16 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.38% or 4.95 to trade at $1311.55 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.43% to 9.5566, while USD/SEK rose 0.37% to 8.5703.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.01% at 96.04.
