Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Tourism, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.52%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Turk Traktor (IS:TTRAK), which rose 2.30% or 1.80 points to trade at 80.20 at the close. Emlak Konut Gmyo (IS:EKGYO) added 1.27% or 0.040 points to end at 3.180 and Turkiye Is Bankasi AS C (IS:ISCTR) was up 1.01% or 0.050 points to 5.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Metro Holding (IS:METRO), which lost 3.64% or 0.040 points to trade at 1.060 in late trade. Bizim Magazalari (IS:BIZIM) declined 3.34% or 0.45 points to end at 13.01 and Alcatel Lucent Teletas (IS:ALCTL) shed 2.97% or 0.240 points to 7.840.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 254 to 78 and 71 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was down 0.04% or 0.45 to $1269.05 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.97% or 0.48 to hit $49.24 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 0.89% or 0.45 to trade at $50.02 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.19% to 3.1079, while EUR/TRY rose 0.17% to 3.3998.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.22% at 98.70.
