Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 1.43%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HEL:OUT1V), which rose 4.90% or 0.1220 points to trade at 2.6140 at the close. Meanwhile, YIT Oyj (HEL:YTY1V) added 4.32% or 0.23 points to end at 5.43 and Fortum Oyj (HEL:FUM1V) was up 3.72% or 0.50 points to 13.95 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were TeliaSonera AB (HEL:TLS1V), which fell 2.10% or 0.100 points to trade at 4.670 at the close. Orion Oyj B (HEL:ORNBV) added 0.06% or 0.02 points to end at 35.03 and Tieto Oyj (HEL:TIE1V) was up 0.40% or 0.09 points to 22.79.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 111 to 66 and 4 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 5.05% or 2.48 to $51.73 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 4.41% or 2.04 to hit $48.30 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.88% or 10.00 to trade at $1147.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.74% to 1.1271, while EUR/GBP rose 0.18% to 0.7400.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.69% at 95.56.
