Investing.com – Peru equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the S&P Lima Juniors, Non-Metal Minerals and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General declined 0.08%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Relapasa (LM:REL), which rose 2.22% or 0.005 points to trade at 0.230 at the close. Grana Y Monter (LM:GRA) added 1.12% or 0.050 points to end at 4.500 and Cerro Verde (LM:CVE) was up 1.11% or 0.200 points to 18.200 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Panoro (LM:PML), which lost 7.14% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.130 in late trade. Volcan Minera (LM:VOL_pb) declined 3.45% or 0.020 points to end at 0.560 and Sociedad Minera el Brocal SAA (LM:BRO) shed 3.45% or 0.200 points to 5.600.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 15 to 8 and 7 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was up 0.46% or 0.23 to $50.19 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in August fell 0.08% or 0.04 to hit $50.87 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 1.67% or 21.60 to trade at $1270.50 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was unchanged 0.00% to 3.2845, while EUR/PEN unchanged 0.00% to 3.7243.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.51% at 94.16.
