Investing.com – Peru stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Mining, Banking & Financials and S&P Lima Juniors sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General lost 1.11% to hit a new 3-months low.
The best performers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Ferreyros (LM:FER), which rose 2.16% or 0.030 points to trade at 1.420 at the close. Meanwhile, Relapasa (LM:REL) added 2.09% or 0.004 points to end at 0.195 and Cem Pacasmayo (LM:CPA) was up 0.61% or 0.030 points to 4.980 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Panoro (LM:PML), which fell 16.67% or 0.020 points to trade at 0.120 at the close. Trevali Mining (LM:TV) declined 8.57% or 0.060 points to end at 0.640 and Sider (LM:SID) was down 8.33% or 0.015 points to 0.165.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Lima Stock Exchange by 18 to 6 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Trevali Mining (LM:TV) fell to 52-week lows; falling 8.57% or 0.060 to 0.640.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 0.04% or 0.02 to $51.74 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 0.02% or 0.01 to hit $57.22 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.03% or 0.40 to trade at $1157.20 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.27% to 3.1870, while EUR/PEN rose 0.83% to 3.5098.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.00% at 96.39.
