Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.95% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB), which rose 1.87% or 35.0 points to trade at 1910.0 at the close. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) added 1.23% or 15.0 points to end at 1230.0 and Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI) was up 0.81% or 120.0 points to 14960.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which lost 8.99% or 1180.0 points to trade at 11940.0 in late trade. Etb (CN:ETB) declined 2.67% or 16.0 points to end at 584.0 and Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) shed 1.89% or 720.0 points to 37380.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 24 to 5 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.96% or 1.46 to $153.23 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 0.44% or 12.50 to hit $2845.00 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.05% or 0.65 to trade at $1341.05 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.11% to 2923.16, while BRL/COP rose 0.17% to 901.38.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.23% at 95.19.
