Investing.com – Norway stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Energy and Pharma Biotech & Life Sciences sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX fell 0.47%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Opera Software ASA (OL:OPERA), which rose 33.48% or 16.33 points to trade at 65.10 at the close. Meanwhile, Renewable Energy Corporation ASA (OL:REC) added 4.44% or 0.04 points to end at 0.84 and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo) was up 4.23% or 24.5 points to 604.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Telenor ASA (OL:TEL), which fell 6.01% or 7.9 points to trade at 123.6 at the close. Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT) declined 5.36% or 0.30 points to end at 5.30 and Seadrill Limited (OL:SDRL) was down 4.82% or 0.8 points to 14.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 85 to 83 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Telenor ASA (OL:TEL) fell to 52-week lows; falling 6.01% or 7.9 to 123.6.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 0.18% or 0.05 to $27.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.54% or 0.77 to hit $31.09 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.29% or 3.50 to trade at $1195.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was down 0.86% to 9.6098, while USD/NOK fell 0.40% to 8.5546.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.26% at 96.29.
