Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Communication, Oil & Gas and Banking sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 0.20%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which rose 3.80% or 700 points to trade at 19100 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) added 3.56% or 2180 points to end at 63350 and Paz Oil (TA:PZOL) was up 3.40% or 2000 points to 60780 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which fell 4.08% or 132 points to trade at 3105 at the close. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) declined 2.52% or 1640 points to end at 63360 and ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) was down 1.48% or 23 points to 1529.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 202 to 113 and 139 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 2.49% or 0.76 to $31.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 2.92% or 0.92 to hit $32.23 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 1.23% or 13.60 to trade at $1118.90 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.03% to 3.9700, while EUR/ILS fell 0.01% to 4.3067.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.16% at 99.19.
