Investing.com – Norway stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Auto & components, Media and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Oslo, the Oslo OBX gained 0.75%.
The best performers of the session on the Oslo OBX were Fred. Olsen Energy ASA (OL:FOE), which rose 6.67% or 1.7 points to trade at 27.2 at the close. Meanwhile, Det norske oljeselskap ASA (OL:DETNOR) added 3.93% or 2.20 points to end at 58.20 and Akastor ASA (OL:AKAS) was up 3.45% or 0.2 points to 6.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Golden Ocean Group Ltd (OL:GOGLT), which fell 11.28% or 0.75 points to trade at 5.90 at the close. Aker Solutions OL (OL:AKSOL) declined 4.33% or 1.10 points to end at 24.30 and Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd (OL:RCLo) was down 3.34% or 21.0 points to 607.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Oslo Stock Exchange by 103 to 66 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 1.14% or 0.35 to $31.01 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April rose 0.43% or 0.15 to hit $34.65 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 0.62% or 7.50 to trade at $1218.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/NOK was up 0.27% to 9.5334, while USD/NOK rose 0.60% to 8.5956.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.12% at 96.99.
