Investing.com – Turkey stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Banking, Wholesale & Retail Trade and Leasing & Factoring sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.44%.
The best performers of the session on the BIST 100 were Ihlas Holding (IS:IHLAS), which rose 4.17% or 0.010 points to trade at 0.240 at the close. Meanwhile, Enka Insaat (IS:ENKAI) added 3.40% or 0.17 points to end at 5.17 and Alkim Kimya (IS:ALKIM) was up 2.87% or 0.35 points to 12.55 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Koza Altin (IS:KOZAL), which fell 3.42% or 0.75 points to trade at 21.20 at the close. Tofas Oto. Fab. (IS:TOASO) declined 3.34% or 0.60 points to end at 17.35 and Galatasaray Sportif (IS:GSRAY) was down 2.31% or 0.50 points to 21.15.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Istanbul Stock Exchange by 221 to 176 and 10 ended unchanged.
Gold for December delivery was down 0.01% or 0.10 to $1115.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.20% or 0.09 to hit $45.18 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 0.57% or 0.28 to trade at $48.09 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.16% to 3.0303, while EUR/TRY rose 0.46% to 3.3979.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.28% at 96.14.
