Investing.com – Mexico stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Materials, Healthcare and Consumer Goods & Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Mexico, the IPC declined 0.04%.
The best performers of the session on the IPC were Ohl Mexico, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:OHLMEX), which rose 10.97% or 2.410 points to trade at 24.510 at the close. Meanwhile, Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB) added 1.80% or 2.170 points to end at 123.120 and PINFRA SAB De CV (MX:PINFRA) was up 1.70% or 3.010 points to 179.160 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Industrias Penoles Sab De CV (MX:PENOLES), which fell 2.01% or 5.310 points to trade at 259.290 at the close. Genomma Lab Internacional SAB De CV (MX:LABB) declined 1.74% or 0.280 points to end at 15.800 and Alpek, S.A.B. De C.V. (MX:ALPEKA) was down 1.52% or 0.340 points to 22.050.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Mexico Stock Exchange by 102 to 58 and 7 ended unchanged.
Shares in Grupo Aeroportuario Del Pacifico (MX:GAPB) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.80% or 2.170 to 123.120.
Gold for August delivery was down 0.94% or 10.80 to $1133.10 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in August fell 0.25% or 0.12 to hit $50.78 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.28% or 0.16 to trade at $57.08 a barrel.
USD/MXN was up 0.61% to 15.9276, while EUR/MXN rose 0.22% to 17.2554.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.32% at 98.08.
