Investing.com – Israel stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Insurance and Biomed sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 added 1.11%.
The best performers of the session on the TA 25 were OPKO Health Inc (TA:OPK), which rose 6.07% or 204 points to trade at 3566 at the close. Meanwhile, Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) added 4.55% or 54 points to end at 1241 and Avner L (TA:AVNRp) was up 4.32% or 9.9 points to 239.3 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Mizrahi Tefahot (TA:MZTF), which fell 0.95% or 44 points to trade at 4600 at the close. Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) declined 0.65% or 190 points to end at 29210 and Osem (TA:OSEM) was down 0.42% or 32 points to 7503.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange by 196 to 123 and 124 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for November delivery was down 2.38% or 1.11 to $45.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 1.36% or 0.68 to hit $49.02 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.44% or 5.20 to trade at $1185.00 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.40% to 3.8221, while EUR/ILS fell 1.21% to 4.3508.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.49% at 94.44.
