Investing.com – Sweden stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 gained 0.81%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb), which rose 2.06% or 5.0 points to trade at 247.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) added 1.83% or 2.8 points to end at 155.5 and Nokia Oyj (ST:NOKIA) was up 1.75% or 1.10 points to 64.10 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Boliden AB (ST:BOL), which fell 1.50% or 2.40 points to trade at 157.60 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) declined 0.72% or 0.90 points to end at 124.70 and Tele2 AB (ST:TEL2b) was down 0.47% or 0.40 points to 85.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Stockholm Stock Exchange by 336 to 216 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 2.53% or 1.12 to $43.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 2.62% or 1.26 to hit $46.84 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.21% or 2.30 to trade at $1086.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.08% to 9.3266, while USD/SEK fell 0.01% to 8.6889.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.17% at 99.10.
