Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Investment, Financials and Public Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.43% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 4.86% or 165.0 points to trade at 3560.0 at the close. Grupoaval (CN:GAA) added 3.91% or 45.0 points to end at 1195.0 and Conconcret (CN:CIC) was up 3.96% or 40.0 points to 1050.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 2.84% or 0.6 points to trade at 20.5 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 2.06% or 220.0 points to end at 10440.0 and Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) shed 1.25% or 140.0 points to 11100.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 18 to 10 and 2 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for March delivery was unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to $142.68 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in March rose 0.66% or 15.00 to hit $2291.50 , while the February Gold contract fell 0.42% or 4.85 to trade at $1160.95 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.12% to 2986.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.02% to 895.10.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.03% at 101.03.
