Investing.com – Peru equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Mining, Electricity and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Lima, the S&P Lima General rose 1.00% to hit a new 52-week high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the S&P Lima General were Trevali Mining (LM:TV), which rose 11.63% or 0.100 points to trade at 0.960 at the close. Relapasa (LM:REL) added 3.90% or 0.009 points to end at 0.240 and Casa Grande (LM:CSG) was up 3.50% or 0.250 points to 7.400 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Austral Group SAA (LM:AUG), which lost 3.45% or 0.050 points to trade at 1.400 in late trade. Sider (LM:SID) declined 2.70% or 0.010 points to end at 0.360 and Intergroup (LM:IFS) shed 1.13% or 0.360 points to 31.510.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 21 to 7 and 9 ended unchanged on the Lima Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for February delivery was down 2.25% or 1.17 to $50.79 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in March fell 2.40% or 1.32 to hit $53.62 a barrel, while the February Gold contract rose 0.27% or 3.15 to trade at $1188.05 a troy ounce.
USD/PEN was up 0.14% to 3.3870, while EUR/PEN rose 0.15% to 3.5816.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.06% at 101.98.
