Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Sunday, as losses in the Banking, Financials and Insurance sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 lost 3.17% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Paz Oil (TA:PZOL), which fell 1.04% or 650 points to trade at 61880 at the close. Avner L (TA:AVNRp) fell 1.15% or 2.9 points to end at 248.6 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) was down 1.29% or 18 points to 1375 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Frutarom (TA:FRUT), which lost 5.79% or 1070 points to trade at 17400 in late trade. ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL) declined 4.69% or 76 points to end at 1545 and International (TA:FTIN) shed 4.67% or 230 points to 4700.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 288 to 36 and 114 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for August delivery was down 5.09% or 2.55 to $47.56 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in September unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to hit $49.04 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 4.39% or 55.40 to trade at $1318.50 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 1.51% to 3.8848, while EUR/ILS fell 1.10% to 4.3146.
The US Dollar Index was up 2.46% at 95.63.
